How a contract works

  1. Survey. One of our technicians walks the premises, including kitchens and tea points, stores, loading areas and bin stores, and notes how pests could get in.
  2. Agreed schedule. We agree how many routine visits the site needs each year and send you a quote.
  3. Routine visits. Our technicians check bait stations and monitoring points, inspect the higher-risk areas and deal with any activity they find.
  4. Written report. You get a written report after every visit for your facilities records.
  5. Call-outs. If staff spot droppings, gnaw marks or insects between visits, call our office and we send a technician out as quickly as possible.

What’s in the report

  • Date and time of the visit, and the technician who carried it out
  • Areas inspected, such as kitchens, tea points, stockrooms, loading bays and bin stores
  • Any activity found, including the pest, where it was seen and how much
  • Action taken, such as treatment, bait station checks or removal
  • Recommendations on proofing, waste storage, housekeeping and stock rotation
  • The date of your next routine visit

Where problems usually start

In offices, mice are often drawn to tea points, desk drawers with food in them and the cable runs under raised floors. In shops and warehouses, loading bay doors left open, damaged stock and pallets, and cluttered storage give rats, mice and birds a way in and somewhere to settle. Keeping waste sealed, doors closed and storage areas tidy makes a real difference, and each report tells you which of these to look at on your site.

Questions people ask

Can you visit outside working hours?

Yes. We can schedule routine visits before staff arrive, after close or at quieter times so they do not disrupt the working day.

Do you cover large warehouses and storage sites?

Yes. We place and check monitoring points around loading bays, racking, stock areas and perimeters, and look at how pests could get in through doors and gaps in the building.

Can you work in schools and gyms?

Yes. We place bait stations where pupils, members and staff cannot reach them and can arrange visits for times when the building is empty or quiet.

Will staff or customers notice?

Not if you would rather they did not. On request our technicians arrive in an unmarked vehicle and plain clothes.

What happens if someone sees a mouse between visits?
